Gluten/Celiac information, support and recipes

I have the good fortune to have been given some Sonshines products to try.

Just so you know, I am under no obligation to give a good review.

What I am writing here is my honest opinion of the products I have tried.

When I saw the butter tarts and  pecan tarts, I could hardly wait to pop one in my mouth, so I did.

They were fabulous!

The crust is light and flaky and the filling was satisfying without being too sweet.

Next I sampled the biscuits (with raisins in them – thank you very much!) I gently warmed them and topped them with butter – yummy!

Blueberry bread for breakfast. OH YEAH BABY!! I didn’t even butter the second slice!

Today I made a loaf of white bread with Sonshines mix. It says easy as 1 2 3 on the package and they aren’t kidding! The instructions say that you can add hemp seeds as well. I am going to purchase a few packages and experiment with the hemp and with flax as well.

I also made the brownies from the mix Sonshines gave me. Easy as 1 2 3? You betcha!

I frosted them with a fudge butter icing but they didn’t need it. They are moist and delicious!

The final Sonshines mix I tried today is the Tempura batter mix.  I made chicken “nuggets”  I am so happy that I have so much mix left over.  I am going to try it with veggies too!

Tune in next time when I try more of Sonshines products or better yet, pick up some of your own.
