Hello Dollies

You notice the picture is blurry. I didn’t realise until I downloaded it and by that time the Hello Dollies were all gone!  They are just so darn good!!

INSTRUCTIONS

Melt ½ cup margarine in a 9X13 inch pan (I find glass works best)

Layer, into the pan the following:

1 cup crushed GF corn flakes mixed with ¼ tsp cinnamon

1 cup unsweetened coconut

1 cup milk chocolate chips

1 cup butterscotch chips

¾ cup pecans, chopped fine

Pour 1 can of sweetened condensed milk evening over the top layer.

Bake for 20 minutes in a 325°F oven.

Frame the pan with foil to prevent the edges from burning and cook for 10 more minutes.

VARIATIONS

You can substitute the pecans with walnuts.

You can use gluten free graham cracker crumbs instead of the corn flake/cinnamon mixture.

You can use half coconut and half GF oats instead of just coconut.

You can use all chocolate – no butterscotch, or all butterscotch.

Play with this recipe. It is pretty forgiving.

  1. Just wrap the foil around the pan, leaving the top open. (Kind of like a little wall around it)

  2. Jayne: What does frame the pan mean. I suspect it is to cover the pan with foil wrap. I’m thinking of trying them but don’t want to make a blunder. Thanks
