Gluten Free Cupcakes by Charlotte Marsh – seriously good.


When Charlotte Marsh was diagnosed with coeliac disease, where the body reacts to gluten found in wheat, barley and rye, she was told that ‘normal’ bread and cakes would be off  the menu!  Disappointed with the lack of choice and the taste of many gluten free ranges, and desperately missing her favourite cupcakes, she began to make her own, and after experimenting  with many different recipes, and  much trial and error, she hit upon a winner!

Soon friends and family began to ask Charlotte to make cakes for them, and before long she was making themed cupcakes to celebrate their special occasions. And so Cupcake Corner was born…….

Despite being free from gluten, independent taste tests have rated Cupcake Corner’s cakes as a lighter, more delicious sponge than standard cupcakes, with the added advantage that anyone can enjoy them – even chefs can’t tell that they are suitable for coeliacs! In fact Phil Vickery, the British celebrity chef from TV’s “This Morning” recently requested an order and had this to say; “I have to say I’m very impressed with the whole package. The presentation boxes, colours, and quality are excellent.  As for the cakes, they are very good indeed, I could not tell they were gluten free, seriously good in fact

Cupcake Corner provides luxury fairy cakes, all gluten free & handmade to order using the finest ingredients. Charlotte has made cupcakes to celebrate many different occasions, including the arrival of a new baby – spelling out their name in baby blue or pink icing (and making a wonderful gift for the new mother too), personalised and themed birthdays, all occasions related to weddings from engagements to the wedding breakfast and  post-honeymoon gifts.  One customer even ordered a gift box which opened to reveal the words ‘Marry Me’ spelled out on the cupcakes! Current orders include Thank You Teacher, Well Done after exams, Thanks for having us, perhaps you’re visiting friends and relatives over the summer, and there’s also Grandparents Day.    


Charlotte uses the best quality ingredients; free range eggs from her local farmer, fair trade sugar and ndali vanilla extract, a superior extract blended with Ndali Fairtrade vanilla beans. Chocolate is organic and of the highest quality by Green & Blacks.  Charlotte also spent a huge amount of time researching suppliers to ensure that all ingredients used, including all decorations and sprinkles are guaranteed gluten free.
