Cheap roasts will come out tender and tasty with this method.
1 roast (to fit your slow cooker)
1 medium onion
½ tsp pepper
½ tsp minced garlic
potatoes (one for each person + one for the pot), peeled and halved.
Baby carrots (2/3 cup per person)
Pour about 1 ½ inches of water into the crock pot/slow cooker.
Add the garlic.
Place the roast in the water.
Peel the onion and toss it in.
Place the potatoes and carrots on top of the meat.
Sprinkle with pepper.
Turn the slow cooker on to low and allow to cook (covered) for 8 or more hours.
Serve with your favourite steamed veggies.
