4 oz Baker’s unsweetened chocolate
½ cup soya margarine or butter
¾ cup all purpose flour mix
½ tsp guar gum
¼ tsp salt
1 cup packed brown sugar
½ cup chopped walnuts
½ cup milk chocolate chips
½ cup butter
4 oz cream cheese
1 ¼ cup icing sugar
1 cups finely chopped dried cherries
1/8 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tbs heavy cream
Preheat oven to 325°F.
Grease a 9” X 13” baking pan.
Over low heat, melt chocolate and butter in a small saucepan, stirring until smooth.
In a small bowl, combine the flour and salt. Set aside.
In a mixer bowl, beat the eggs until fluffy.
Gradually beat in the brown sugar.
Add cooled chocolate mixture.
Stir in the flour mixture until blended.
Stir in walnuts and chocolate chips.
Spread into prepared pan.
Bake 20 to 23 minutes. ( a toothpick will come out clean when inserted into the center)
Set on a wire rack to cool.
To make the filling, cream the butter and cream cheese in a small mixer bowl.
Gradually beat in the icing sugar and mix in the cherry bits.
Spread evenly over brownie layer.
Melt the semi-sweet chocolate and cream over low heat.
Cool about 3 minutes.
Using a fork, drizzle over the cherry layer.
Chill until firm.
Cut into squares.
